Business Credit Cards for Travel
|
|
One of the key uses of business credit cards is for travel. Over 80% of flights in Australia are booked online and, of course, this can only be done with a credit card or via a travel agent. Businesses these days operate a large portion of their day to day financial dealings, especially travel, on credit cards so obtaining a credit card that is going to deliver good travel benefits and security is important.
It is a bit of effort and expense to set up corporate credit cards for your travelling employees to use, however, by linking these ad-hoc expenses from the credit cards to your corporate account they become a lot more manageable. Keeping a record of a most of the business expenses that your employees are incurring becomes easier.
Your employees will also greatly appreciate not having to cover their business travel expenses out of their own pockets and because their expenses are being directly billed back to the company the issues surrounding expenses are taken out of their hands and they can focus on the job that they are travelling to do.
Travel rewards are also important. If you have selected a credit card which allows you to collect loyalty points for every dollar spent and transfer those to an airline frequent flyer program the business and the employees can directly benefit. The business can redeem those miles and realize the benefits involved.
There are many other benefits involved in using business credit cards for travel. These include packaged travel insurance, fraud protection and emergency funds should the worst happen and the employees belongings be lost or stolen.
